Lighthouse sprinkler LLC

We listen & answer your questions

It is important We take the time to inform and educate our clients how to  avoid sprinkler problems.  Questions  and statements we hear. “ I’ve never had a sprinkler system before”  “ Why does this part break every single year! ” “ That part of the yard has always been an issue”  “ It was blown out by another company and it’s broken again!”  “ Is that brown spot from my dog ?”

Sprinkler head broken again !”  “ Vacuum Breaker handle cracked / broke again!

The issues that homeowners face today with sprinkler and irrigation systems are lack of  information, continual leaking and valves not working. Broken mainline, broken manifold or valve box, sprinkler heads shooting water, system won’t turn off, timer issues problems/settings, , dry areas in the lawn, animal and insect yard damage,, and improper lawn feeding/food/fertilizer etc.

Having your sprinkler system properly started  is important

An improper start up can cause damage to not only your sprinkler system but your house plumbing. Controlling water pressure (water hammer) is critical during the first few moments your system is starting. We understand this and use a multiple step process that ensures a safe start up thus avoiding costly repairs to valve systems and mainlines. That doesn’t mean we won’t find issues due to its age, bad installations, poor start procedures in the past, freeze cracks or improper shut down procedures. Lighthouse Sprinkler understands these issues and handles your system with care.

Repairs

All too often we see the evidence of  inexperienced technicians repairing sprinkler systems. Customers tell us “ this other company who repaired this and did it wrong, its not working and they wont come back to fix it”.  Lighthouse has a complete knowledge of parts, water flow pressure and assembly procedures. We take great care to not damage your lawn and flower beds.

Sprinkler head problems or issues

Normally if there is a head issue, the lawn is showing signs of stress.  This might not only be from a bad head. 90% of the time its a combination of factors ( Head, animal , insect and Infections) Starting with bad water coverage .  All of these items must be addressed so the newly replaced head can properly water the soil and start the grass growing again.  It’s our job to make sure that the new head is correct and isn’t too low, not too high or tilted. This might require additional work and parts to be added under the head. This will ensure proper coverage to the concerned areas of the lawn

.

Sprinkler Valves, Manifolds and Mainlines

Valve boxes/manifolds need to be completed  with drainage and future repairs in mind. We frequently see newly installed valve systems that are dripping. They have no drain or no easy way to repair it. Every manifold valve system we approach has to be configured to your system and well thought out before work begins. And yes, it must have a winter drain installed.  Yes its much cheaper to simply  glue PVC together and leave project fast, but we like to think about the clients needs and ease of future repairs.

Sprinkler Blowout or Winterization

This is the number one thing you can have done correctly for your Sprinkler investment. A proper knowledge of how your homes plumbing and sprinkler tie together is needed during this critical process. Too often we see needless spring damages that could’ve be avoided if the blowout was done correctly. Only use a company that enters your home two times during during the blowout.
